Jaimy & Kenny D - Caught Me Running (Tiesto Summerbreeze R.......2005-06-04
I did not buy this for the dvd. I bought it for one track on the two cd's that come with it. For those out there wanting to complete their Tiesto remixes collection...the first cd in this set contains the full unmixed version of Jaimy & Kenny D's - Caught Me Running (Tiesto Summerbreeze Remix). Just making you aware out there if you happen to stumble across this dvd. But it for that one track if you looking for all of Tiesto's remixes. The dvd is ok. :)
Pretty good, but for the price, it's a steal.......2004-12-25
Considering this was $18 when I bought it, this is a steal. The visuals on most of the videos are pretty cool, although some of the interludes are rather weak (but thankfully short). Honestly, when I popped this in, and heard the music on the first screen, I about flipped out. It sounded like a 5 year old on his Porta-Sound. But don't worry, just hit play, and let the adventure begin. The videos of DJ Tiesto are awesome (although I am admittedly biased), and the best IMHO are the shots of Amsterdam's Red Light District and the Cannabis bars. Very cool choice. The club scenes can get a little repetitive, but there's some funny stuff in there too. The guy in the sweater vest dancing by himself cracks me up. It's only there for a few seconds, but long enough to get a laugh. One thing I really don't like are the credits that show up at the end of the last track. I primarily got this as something to show when I have parties, and credits scrolling is just too cheesy.
Don't buy this for the bonus CDs. They're a "Trance Experience" I wish I didn't have. Most of the tracks are, well, horrible. There are certainly some redeeming tracks, but if you've been a trance fan for any period of time, you probably already have them on other CDs and compilations. Still, you essentially get them for free with the DVD, so I can't take away any stars for something that didn't really cost me anything.
Overall, this is well worth the price. A pretty good DVD, and two almost passable CDs is definitely worth it. Pick this up; it's money well spent.
Nice Package For The Money.......2004-08-11
I liked the package and thought there was nothing else out there until I found the Gartel- Trance, Dance and Other Living Things DVD. There is nothing like it in exsitence. I have watched it 8 times and am still experiencing new sounds and new visuals. This Gartel fellow is called the "Father of Digital Media" and now I know why. He created 14 mini movies using every multi-media effect known to mankind, plus several of his own that he threw in for good measure. He set these in time to various trance, dance, and electronic tracks, done in dolby digital 5.1 surround sound. It was truly a trip. Worth every penny. If you have a big screen tv and surround sound, this is a must! For anyone into Adobe, Graphics, or Art, his images are inspiring. Buy the Trance experience plus Gartel, just so you will have a comparison of what I am talking about.
Not Bad.......2004-02-23
I was at my local record store and i thought I'd pick it up. I am a huge trance fan so i wasnt realy worried about it being a waist of money. Plus, it was only 17 bucks, so if the DVD was bad and the CD's were good (or vise versa) it was like I only bought one anyway. Well I would just like to say that the CD's are TERRIBLE!! Worst trance I have ever heard. Except for the tracks that are on the DVD (the DVD tracks are mixed into the CD). The DVD however was pretty good. Had a lot of good tracks on it, and the visuals were a nice change. It has live footage of clubs and graphics. I would give the DVD 4 out of five stars and the CD's one at most. So if you got 20 to spend, you should do for it. (The craziest part of visuals, is a face that rolls around on the screen)
!Emotion in Trance!.......2004-02-01
This DvD is definitly worth picking up!! It has some pretty good visuals and the comes with 2 bonus cd's loaded with really good songs.

CHILL OUT BACKGROUND MUSIC- NOT FOR TOURIST INFORMATION.......2006-06-16
This video tells a story of the Island of Ibiza vai some chill out tunes. If you're into the sounds of Ian Van Dahl, DJ Armin Van Buren, DJ Tiesto, Kate Ryan and other Euro sounds of a similar variety, this DVD isn't for you. If you were looking for a video that describes the tourism of the Island this isn't for you either. It's a chill out trippy video that functions great as a back drop to a home or workspace while you're doing something else. This sound has more of a chill out, almost trippy sound to it with pictures. It's okay for the VJ scene but not something similar to the stuff put out by Moonshine. After watching this I was not impressed and would not recommend buying this DVD, but it was an okay rent if you're looking for some of the scenes. It does add to the mystery of this island. If you're an American consider Ibiza (pronounced Ibetha) the South Padre Island or Myrtle Beach of Spain with a bit more of a clubber's flair (Think Vegas with out the gambling). It's very classiy. Lots of young people there. There is a freak show, people watching element to many of the things there kind of like a Bourbon Street in New Orleans or the Carnival in Rio. This is an amazing place if you're interested in going. It is all abou the clubs, clubbing and beautiful people.
im so glad this got a low rating.......2005-12-13
this was a very poor poor experience. and it was worth the low rating. ultra repetitive scenes, nauseating insipid scenes of people sleeping on the beach, and wow we get to see the same scenes but in a different video effect. let the music do the looping, dont loop the same images. in fact, never do that again. or do a entire video on people bumming on the beach. need people talking, what r the stores like down there, culture? ive never been.
Don't buy it - annoying videos, no flow.......2003-10-21
This is the worst DVD I have ever seen. I went to Ibiza twice in the past two years, and thought investing in this would allow me to see some of the places and relive some of the memories. The graphics are horrible - they've used some sort of camera effects so everything is blurry. They leave a big title in the bottom right of the screen and it jumps around a great deal. I could barely even see any of Space during the first video. The songs have no flow from one to another, so if you were playing it for entertainment at a party, for example, the faster beat song would only last a few minutes before the very chilled song comes next. So, this DVD really serves no purpose. You can't seem much of Ibiza, the songs have nothing in common beat-wise, and the graphics make it not even worth wanting to watch. I threw it in the trash and moved on to Fatboy Slim's Brighton Beach, Paul Van Dyk's Global, Underworld's Everything, or just went back to CDs. This DVD's not worth it.
better then terrible.......2003-10-17
If you have yet to go to Ibiza you might find this DVD slightly entertaining... assuming you like pixelated 1970's effects applied to stock party footage, mixed with footage of people looking bored as they eat or sleep. In my opinion it is a dis-service to the most magic place on this earth. A place full of diverse and wonderful people, music, and scenery - something this dvd fails to convey. The most frustrating and surprising thing about this DVD is that begining to end the footage is destroyed by the most horrble and garish color "effect" that also manages to ruin the image quality. I honestly thought my DVD player was not playing it properly, so I tried it on a friends which produced the same results. The music would have been great about 10 years ago but does the modern/current sound of Ibiza no justice. It should be retitled Ibiza Vs. Atari. Unfortunatly Atari wins...
And another thing, it was so dissapointing that when I go back next summer I'm taking a video camera. Look for my DVD next year.
As an artist I have to give props to the package design, the only reason I gave it 2 stars...
E-mail me if ya want info on Ibiza, it really is an amazing place. (current e-mail can be found at my personal site digitalcrafter.com)
