Good show, poor DVD quality - for die-hard fans only!.......2005-04-18
This DVD has two major drawbacks in quality department - poor sound and weird video editing. Individual instruments are lost in audio mix, Suzi's bass can be heard only during her solo, and all in all one can hardly hear treble or bass - only middle range frequencies.
The video editing is done MTV-style: quick takes, fast cuts preventing to see what's going on, no long shots, if there are some close-ups, they are really close - only the face is seen. I've got an impression that the camera man got some new modern equipment and he tried every trick in the book with it, while the editor decided that several different shots per second is quite normal for live rock performance. As a result after 5 minutes of this video motley my eyes got tired, and very soon I've got a real headache!
Artists like Suzi do not need all this modern video extravaganza - her music is a little bit old-fashioned (and we love her for this!), and her show should be shot accordingly. The show itself was quite good, and it can be seen in the second half of the program when the editor slows down a little bit and allows us to see the performance (at last!).
As for b/w archive footage and old video footage embedded by the editor into the show itself, frankly I would prefer to see it in bonus materials: complete versions of old videos and archive footage.
Five stars for the show and only one star for DVD quality ends in resultant three stars.
REAL LIVE ROCK SHOW.......2005-03-25
The thing that disappointed me is that this dvd is...too short.
Great Quatro live performace. Rock Hard is better live than the studio version; the Can The Can intro, where Quatro plays drum solo, is fantastic and only this, worth the price of this dvd.
Very good version of: She's in love with you, Stumblin'in.
The Quatro' bass solo, also is good, very good.
This a real live concert, with real players nothing has been changed in studio, like it happens in many live shows put in cd or dvd.
It's a dvd for people who like real rock.
Bon, mais un peu moyen.......2004-12-02
Les titres: The Wild One, Rock Hard, Can The Can, 48 Crash, Stumblin in, She's in love with you, Tear me appart, If you can give me love Glycerine queen Devil Gate drive (dans le desorde) Voila un appercu d'un concert actuel de Suzi Quatro.
If you want contact me, no problem. I'm a fan of Suzi Quatro

My Daughter is in Love.......2007-07-23
This was a Yule girt for my daughter. On her 16th birthday I took her to see Skid Row in New Orleans. It was love at first sight. I also love the band, but for their music.
Bas Rules!!.......2007-01-11
Being a HUGE Sebastian fan, I loved this!! Sebastian is hilarious and adorable! Watching this made me see him as very down to earth! Would love to party with this guy! The only thing I wasn't too fond of is the actual concert footage during the first half or so - what were these guys thinking when they got dressed???!! Kind of reminded me of a bad 1970's B movie. A head-to-toe silver, sequined "Miami Vice" suit does NOT belong on someone like Sebastian! I'm very surprised (with his usual image) that he actually dressed like that in public! And the BAD hairdo - whoa! But all the in-between footage, as well as his incredible, unmatched vocals, were awesome! (Make absolute sure to watch "Bach in the Pit" - I can watch that part over and over! Hilarious to see Sebastian trying to stay cool when you could see he was pretty freaked out!) Bottom line - I love it!
IF YOU ARE A TRUE SKID ROW FAN YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.......2006-03-18
I've never visited a gay bar, but I can relate this performance to fit perfectly for one. Drag queen clothes (New York Dolls/Alice Cooper lame imitation) won't save the day in this poor musical attempt to revive Skid Row's good days. Maybe I'm too old for this, but excessive make up, glitter, and women's flashy clothes just don't cut it if wore by guys especially if the music doesn't "make up" for it or if it doesn't justify the effort. Tinkerbell guitarrist in a rock n' roll band? What the hell you need huge green butterfly wings for?
Sebastian still has the energy to run all over the stage, but no signs of his once highly praised voice here.
If you're buying it for the music, don't waste your $$$, if you're buying it for the extras...nothing really interesting either. This will be a one-time-watched dvd. A perfect dust-collector-item.
Sebastian Bach Is A True Rocker.......2005-08-07
Taking portions of the VH1 show that held the same name "Forever Wild" and combining it with live concert footage we get this release from Sebastian Bach on Eagle Vision. It took a couple of views for me to come up with the proper opinion of it. While I have been a fan of Sebastian and his efforts for Metal and Hard Rock I found this DVD a little on the confusing side. For those that are unaware VH1 had a short-lived show bearing this name and it was dreadful if you asked me. The show was Sebastian pretty much running amok and they periodically showed videos. They also would place him in some odd situation on his own or with another rocker. It was almost like a "lets make a reality show about Sebastian Bach and how wild he can be" but never really followed any sort of scripting. I felt they should have either made a normal reality show about his life, and his band and touring and all or just done a Metal and Rock videos show with him as the host. I think the indecision of Network Executives is what endangered this show and made it so scattered. It was almost as if the creators were not placing so much attention in it. Over time this could have been developed into something a lot more interesting. Which brings us to this DVD.
Anyway, on this DVD we get a good sampling of the VH1 segments and while I felt much of them were wasted time there was some that left me gasping for air in laughter. Bach does some stuff with Motley Crue Singer Vince Neil and after losing a bet with him has to stand in an Alligator pool. I am not kidding you as he is standing knees deep in a pond full of Alligators and the handlers keep telling him don't move suddenly or anything. His expressions alone are priceless. There is also an amusing segment with Ted Nugent but how could the Nuge make any segment bad. Nugent alone is one of the most interesting people in Music. To me those were the best of the included TV segments.
The concert footage was pretty cool to see, as Bach really is an excellent front man. He is so totally into what he does and the audience energy seems to fuel him track after track. Joining Sebastian in the group for the video concert portion is Ritchie Scarlet (guitar), Mark McConnell (Drums), and Larry Fisher (bass). This section was filmed at The Whisky in Hollywood California in 2003. There is a lot of the Skid Row tunes you want to hear in the set and overall its fun to watch. They had all of my favorites by Skid Row so I was ok on the concert content. I watched the whole piece straight thru and did not see if there was a way to only watch the concert or the other program. I think the viewer is stuck with flipping past things that don't interest them. You can see by listing of the tracks on it, that concert pieces follow segments of the VH1 show and vice versa.
Ya, it's not perfect....It's Bachtacular!!!.......2005-07-05
I understand that the DVD isn't of perfect quality, but I must say that this didn't bother me AT ALL!!!
Sebastian has done something with this DVD that others should take notice of...made something HE knew his fans would like...It's personal, funny, and in true Bach style...Diehard fans will overlook the little things. The music speaks for itself...his laugh contagious. Sebastian Bach rocks!!!!
