`80's Pop videos of an all-female quartet.......2007-07-06

Has there ever been a more beautiful love song than "Eternal Flame"? The music videos in this collection range from that pretty one to the to dance to chart-topper, "Walk Like An Egyptian". There are a few special guest star appearances, Leonard Nimoy (on "Going Down To Liverpool") and Little Richard with a cameo by Randy Quaid (on "Walking Down Your Street"). This collection by the all-female band fronted by Susanna Hoffs concludes with the in-concert music video, "Be With You". The DVD also includes song chapters and a discography.

THE BEST!.......2006-12-30

Let me start off by saying that there is a few good videos left off of this DVD, but it is still a SUPERB, very GOOD dvd too have.
Susanna, and the rest of group look just like they did back in the 80's-early 90's.
Yes, every now and then, you will see a few small white dots appear briefly, but the video quality is at least as good, and I think better than back then, and the sound quality is AWESOME!!!
Buy this DVD, its totally worth the small amount of Money!
By buying this, im sure the producers will be APT to put out another one, but with more songs, and better!
How can you beat Susanna in voice, and looks?????

Skipped Hazy Shade Of Winter.......2006-10-30

As another reviewer pointed out this collection does not include the video for 'Hazy Shade Of Winter'. They also missed one of the Bangles earliest videos 'The real world' from 1983 and 'Everything I wanted' from 1990.

I would have liked for those videos to have been included but the ones that are here are great and I enjoyed watching them again.

This DVD is just videos with no commentary from the artists or anyone else. That's fine by me but I'm giving it four stars for leaving out 'Hazy Shade Of Winter' and the other two videos that I mentioned.

about the MTV DVD Disc tittled the bangles - Greatest Hits.......2006-08-29

This DVD contains MTV videos which I can say contains humourous contents and some sexual intimacy scene which I have watched them after I got the goods from my house letterbox after weeks of waiting from [...]. This is one of the good compilation in terms of greatest hits for videos for this title. There are very fine linework on each video which suggest that it is been transferred from VHS format but the quality is still good at this point of view. This DVD videodisc must be played on standalone DVD player and cannot be played with a computer DVD-ROM drive which could give some "crackering" noise which is protected against working on computers. The one videoclip that make one laugh and say something about it is the egyptian dance which saw many people dance with egytian style. Kids or underaged whom see this will definitely "copycat" this act which will make it look very stupid afterall. This is the one DVD that Singapore film control department(to control kids) MDA - Media Development Authority did not allow and approve the disc to be sold in Singapore. Most of the DVD for other category which comes from different part of the world inclusive U.S copies are not recognised as legiomate copies as there is not such thing as international. This is the reason why there is no such believe as this item could be sold based on international as pass to sell in Singapore and had to be checked by MDA to ensure safety to watch and at the same time not to allow kids to have these illicit scenes or even big violence based film/movies on DVD or any video media that is bein recorded to say it is original that is sold overseas. The overall rating of this DVD is in between a 4 to 5 star rating which is a recommendation for those whom are interested in this genre of MTV Video disc. Have a nice day viewing......

Favorite girl band ever.......2006-03-13

Let me get in line with all the other guys who love the Bangles. They are my favorite girl group of all time. I also love the solo work done by Susanna, and her version of Eternal Flame on Lilith Fair.

What does it take to be the best girl group of all time. Better than the Supremes, the Crystals, the Shirelles, Heart, Wilson Phillips, the Indigo Girls, the Ronettes, and the bands fronted by a woman, the Cranberries, the Pretenders, Queen (oh sorry, just a joke).

Intelligence, creativity, likeability, good music.

Despite the fact that Susanna looks so coy and flirtatious on some of the videos, for some reason she is my ideal woman, the prettiest girl in the world. I like seeing and hearing her with Michael and the Peterson sisters.

This video is kind of short, and leaves out a few songs that need to be here. It has well produced videos but lacks the magic that some live performances have. My favorite live video is Cyndi Lauper At Last. It's better than this. So this one gets four stars and Cyndi gets five.

I don't focus on the technical quality, the transfer from VHS or whatever. I just watch the video and focus on the girls and the songs.

I'm on a much too long line of guys who love the Bangles and Susanna Hoffs.

Dumb blondes are nowhere near as interesting or appealing as intelligent and creative women.
