Very Good but too short and too expensive.......2004-03-23

Despite the ugly cover art(which at the time of writing this is not available here), this DVD is actually very good at covering The Animals' story during their peak years. True, this DVD is a little expensive at $27 but it contains many vintage clips from the 60s and outlines the progression of the band far better than I thought it would.

incomplete songs...the only complete thing is the rip-off.......2003-11-11

I got complete ripped-off by buying this dvd,only 59 minutes long with a bunch of interviews and 10 second clips of songs,a waste of my hard earned money,might as well burn my 27$ in my fireplace....

Eric's microphone was unplugged.......2004-05-26

We all have heard of the so called "unplugged" performances from Clapton to Rod Stewart, but nobody warned me about this DVD. It should have been titled "Eric Burdon Unplugged". His mike is either unplugged or more likely, a software glich occurred in the audio. I called 800-356-0944 ext. 146 to complain but the group that released this dvd was unaware of the problem. If you have the same problem, call this number and they may have an explanation. The dvd continues to be for sale at major retailers.

An item to avoid.......2004-05-25

This DVD is captured in the late 80's, and features an Eric Burdon Band including Jamie Moses on guitar. The performance is excelent, but there are several reasons to AVOID this DVD:

1. It's a bootleg, and you will cause Eric econimical harm by buying it.
2. The sound is AWFUL! You can't hear Erics singing, and when you can't do that, you miss the whole point of the gig.
3. It's very short! Only a 3/4 hour or so.

Hopefully, this will talk you out of buying it :-)

And if you want a really good concert DVD with Eric, buy the Live at The Coach House DVD!

Eric's microphone is basically muted or turned off. Don't unwrap it and take it back.... like NOW. Great for the deaf, they don't need to hear Eric.

Not what I expected, However ............2003-04-17

The quality on this dvd is poor all the way around,BUT, it is right up Eric's alley. He performs well and he is a die hard old tradition fan. He would rather here his music in mono than stereo because he likes the purity of the traditional blues. You can't hate him for that. I, for one, am real happy with it!!

Worst DVD in my collection.......2004-05-15

Who ever decided to tape this show and put it on a DVD was crazy. I am a fan of Eric Burdon and the Animals and lets face it, they are an "old" rock and roll band and should give their audience what they want, the OLD versions of their hits. Even John Fogerty does a great job on his Premonition DVD without the CC band. I will sell this crummy DVD as soon as I can.

Great concert from Eric.......2004-02-01

This DVD really captures how Eric and band were at the time, and still is. Erics voice is stil going strong, and he's as energetic as ever.
Old fans who haven't seen or heard of him in 30 years, might be disappointed because they haven't heard his work between the old, a bit boring Animals and this DVD. His version here of f.ex. Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood ain't all that weird. He's been playin' this reggea-like version since the mid 80's!
The band is extremly good, but some of the spirit disappeared with Larry Wilkins in the grave, but Dean's doing a great job and so is all of the others, too!
So if you know Eric well, or know how he is nowadays, BUY THIS DVD! But if you're an old, narrow-minded Animals fan who expect it to be just like the old days, forget it. But still it is a great DVD anyway

I can't believe the other reviewers on this item!!!! I thought it was the worst concert I've seen (and I've seen a few!!!). I thought Eric way overdid his performance....too much "jive"!! My wife got a c.d. of his recently that had updated versions of his old Animals classics..and it was great!!! I have no idea what happened here??? He seemed like a tired old alcholic trying to be (way too) cool!! What a dissapointment!!!!!!!

Shockingly Bad!.......2001-12-20

Left me in shock for some time! Eric Burdon mutilated his songs so badly, he has forever ruined what was once some of my favorite music. Now when his old stuff comes on the radio, I flash back to this horrible concert. His voice is bad, his stage presence is bad, sound quality is bad -- I'm stunned that they would even release this. He should be embarassed.
