After he pushed the envelope of computer-generated special effects in The Abyss, director James Cameron turned this hotly anticipated sequel to Terminator into a well-written, action-packed showcase for advanced special effects and for one of the most invincible villains ever imagined. Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a legitimate sequel: there's more story to tell about a hulking, leather-clad android (Arnold Schwarzenegger) who arrives from the future to protect a rebellious teenager and future leader (Edward Furlong) from being killed by the tenacious T-1000 robot (Robert Patrick), whose liquid-metal construction makes him seemingly unstoppable. The fate of the future lies in the balance, with Linda Hamilton (who would later marry her director) reprising her role as the rugged woman whose son will change the course of history. --Jeff Shannon
Description
He said he'd be back. This time experience T2 like never before! Go EXTREME with the best picture and sound ever! ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER returns as the Terminator in this explosive action-adventure spectacle. Now he's one of the good guys, sent back in time to protect John Connor, the boy destined to lead the freedom fighters of the future. LINDA HAMILTON reprises her role as Sarah Connor, John's mother, a quintessential survivor who has been institutionalized for her warning of the nuclear holocaust she knows is inevitable. Together, the threesome must find a way to stop the ultimate enemy - the T-1000, the most lethal Terminator ever created. Co-written, produced and directed by James Cameron ("The Terminator," "Aliens," "Titanic), this visual tour de force is also a touching story of survival.

Phenomenal Transfer.......2007-09-13
I own all DVD editions of T2, including the T2 Ultimate Edition. The transfer quality of the Extreme Edition is head and shoulders above the Ultimate Edition. I recommend purchasing this version even if you have the others.
Why did I buy it? I recently purchased an HD DVD player and it exposed the lower quality transfer of the Ultimate Edition. I immediately noticed a difference when I played this version (Extreme) on my HD DVD player. With the exception of the UK or French T2 HD DVDs, this is the best version of T2 available.
The Movie: Must Have. The DVD: Must Have.......2007-09-05
This ranks among The Godfather, Part II (Two-Disc Widescreen Edition), Spider-Man 2 (Widescreen Special Edition) and Aliens (Two-Disc Collector's Edition) as one of the few sequels to surpass the original. Coincidentally, this is created by the same man who gave us Aliens.
I'm sure all of you know the story, Arnold Schwarzenegger is sent back in time by John Connot to protect his young self from the T-1000. This movie is action packed and amazing when it comes to technology. The T-1000 looks even better than most of the movie being produced today.
But the real treat here is the DVD. Two Discs jam packed full of features. It includes numerous features, three, count them, three versions of the movie, theatrical, special, and extended editons of the movie. It also includes a very busy audio commentary, the script anf 700+ storyboards. There's so much on this disc it'd take me hours just to list all of it.
This is a Must Have. Definite Must Have. The movie is wonderful and the DVD complements it perfectly.
Best Sci Fi Movie Ever.......2007-08-23
Although it came out in the 1980's i haven't seen any film that is more sci fi than terminator 2 . the dvd it self was of the best i' ve ever seen. The special effects were outstanding and they even got an academy award for it, aside from the special effects it also had a good storyline. It is about John Connor who is going to be very important in the future against skynet, has to be saved because skynet has sent a time travellling cyborg to kill him from existing in the future.
Classic, with some nice extras on the DVD.......2007-08-01
If you are seeking the turning point in Computer Generated Films, Terminator 2 marks the first true success of it, with the morphing Terminator cop, originally influenced by films like Willow and The Abyss, both with marked CGI effects.
The film is a must for Terminator fans, with much action and gunfire, with Arnold's trademark style. Some great explosions, though the film has slow times for story telling.
The extras are interesting, but the HD version is only good on a PC with a specific setup with Windows, being released before true HD players. Commentary and extras are good in general though. Recommend fans buy this version.
They really don't make 'em like this anymore.......2007-07-24
It is interesting to watch this fifteen years later and see how it holds up. This was the movie that ushered in the era of digital sound, it also showed morphing, environment mapping and these things that were already present in much shorter form in The Abyss (Special Edition) during the water creature sequence.
From the plot standpoint, this is the only Terminator movie that could have worked without Arnie. And maybe this is not a coincidence, it probably was conceived that way. If Arnold would have demanded too big a paycheck, this probably would have become "Sara and John get chased by the T-1000". And it probably would have been almost as good. That being said, it is great to have Arnie back, because when the first part had him act like a (pretty scary) machine, here he is in a way more human than in most of his other roles where he plays actual humans.
One could almost be a bit nostalgic for the time when Hollywood could still produce carefully thought-out blockbusters that rocked and even had a bit of wit. Watching "Die Hard 4" a few weeks ago was a good reminder how deeply the American film industry has fallen since then.
As far as the extra features on the DVD are concerned, I am grateful that James Cameron did not include that horrible sugar-coated coda in the theater version. It would have single-handedly wiped out the whole movie, it is so cringe-inducing. (Yes, even more cringe-inducing than Arnold's acting and the occasional bad SFX.)
In "Terminator 2", Cameron gives us great action scenes, punctuated by slower, more dialogue-heavy scenes. The film is long because it takes its time to draw its characters, and it does not rush to its conclusion but lets us savor it.
A few things look a bit ridiculous of course, like the obvious puppet of Arnie when he walks towards the cops at Cyberdyne while being shot at and that determinedly downtempo synthesizer music in some of the action scenes sometimes is a little embarrassing. Most cell phones can probably synthesize better sound today. But that does not detract from the accomplishment of the movie, which is built on character, situation, and a solid understanding of pacing.

16 years has passed and this film holds to the nowadays blockbusters. THX remasteriation and optimization is a must and fair choice for this great film and the blu ray format.
Less than 20 greens are nothing compared with what you get. You won't regret it.
Theatrical release on Blu Ray OR Director's Cut on HD?!.......2007-08-23
I have to say I would choose the HD release of this movie, for starters because my boyfriend has an HD player, and it also has a lot of extra scenes which were cut from the director's cut, but for once, add a lot to the film itself. At the moment, people are still sitting on the fence or choosing one or the other format. Some people prefer Blu Ray, some people prefer HD. I can't get into this, as I haven't watched any Blu Ray movies. But we'll soon see which will be the video cassette, and which will be the DVD. Soon I hope.
There are so many editions of this movie out there, it's hard to know which one to choose. Personally, for me it would be this one (well, the HD release which isn't listed on Amazon for some reason) the director's cut, as those always win hands down with me. James Cameron does the best movies. I just wish he'd change his mind and release a special edition of True Lies. A Classic!!!
This movie is said to be one of the best sequels in Scream 2 - which is in fact itself a sequel. And indeed it is a great sequel, with the only slight annoyance being Edward Furlong and his ever changing voice! (He is clearly much younger in the desert, for instance, than in other scenes. His voice began to break and had to be pitched to one level in post-production.) With Linda Hamilton looking about as unfeminine as Madonna is now, and Arnie as the good guy this time round (Arnie said during the making of this film that he would never play another evil character again, but he later played the villain Mr. Freeze in Batman & Robin), this is truly a great sequel. Although I do prefer Nick Stahl as John Connor in T3, than Edward Furlong.
There seems to be a lot of twin stuff in this movie, as Linda's sister, Leslie came in to be a double in scenes involving two "Sarah Connors" (i.e., when the T1000 was imitating her), and in a scene where Sarah removes the Terminator's CPU, and threatens to destroy it, her sister is basically in the mirror! And also identical twins Don Stanton and Dan Stanton played the hospital security guard and the T1000.
If you were a fan of Michael Biehn in the first movie, he makes a reappearance in this, in Sarah's dream sequence, and warns her that THEIR son is in danger. She has to save him, etc. They kiss and then she wakes up. This is the only scene that Michael Biehn was in, and appeared in some promotional trailers. Cameron cut the scene because he thought that audiences who had not seen the first movie would be confused by the appearance of Kyle. But it is included on the cut shown on the DVD.
Many scenes included on the DVD for you enjoyment and not in the theatrical release include:
--> A hospital scene was cut that took place directly after the pre-med students peer into Sarah's room. The doctor reminds the orderlies to make sure she gets her medication. The cut scene was of the staff coming in to give her the pills. They smack her in the gut with their batons and force the pills down her throat, then kick her while she's on the floor doubled over in pain. (This scene had to be re-shot several times because actor Ken Gibbel wouldn't hit Linda Hamilton properly with his nightstick. The scene was very physically demanding and Hamilton was furious with Gibbel because he repeatedly botched it. She got her revenge in a later scene where she beats Gibbel with a broken off broom handle - the blows are for real.)
--> After the T-1000 kills John's foster parents, he ventures outside to get the dog to shut-up. He reaches down and snatches the collar off the dog, thus killing the dog. On the collar is stamped the dog's name "Max". The T-1000 realizes he has been duped by John (actually the T-800 imitating John's voice) by calling the dog "Wolfie."
--> After killing the dog, the T-1000 goes to John's room to try to find any clues as to where John might be. He stalks around the room waving his arms and "feeling" things on the shelves, on the walls, etc. He eventually stops in front of a poster, realizes there is something behind it, rips it down and finds a box of mementos (pictures, and the like). This must be where the T-1000 figures out about the desert compound that Sarah, John, and the T-800 head to after the hospital. James Cameron decided to cut it because it made the T-1000 look too much like it had x-ray vision.
--> At the abandoned gas station, a scene involved Sarah and John talking with the T-800 about learning. He tells them that his CPU was switched to read-only before being sent out. Cyberdyne doesn't want them to learn too much while on their own. John asks can it be switched and he says yes. You then see the T-800's face in a "mirror" talking Sarah through the procedure. A puppet was used for the foreground Sarah to work on and Linda's twin sister Leslie was in the mirror mimicking Linda's hand movements. After the CPU is removed, the T-800 shuts-down and Sarah places it on a table. She picks up a hammer and tries to smash it to render him inoperative. John stops her and says they need him. He starts to show authority for the first time and says to Sarah, "How am I supposed to be a world leader if my own mother won't listen to me?"
--> A scene in a Skynet-free future, with Sarah Connor as an older woman giving a monologue about how John became a senator.
Given Arnie's $15 million salary and his total of 700 words of dialog, that translates to $21,429 per word. "Hasta la vista, baby" cost $85,716.
This is a great sequel, and well worth getting, although if you find Edward Furlong an annoying little brat like I did, then watch T3 and have your faith in movies reaffirmed.
Mediocre HD transfer, not much extra........2007-08-15
There's little reason to grab this over the standard DVD version. The transfer is fuzzy and details are not particularly sharp; granted, it's from 1992 and wasn't exactly filmed in HD to begin with, but I was expecting more out of it than this. The extras treatment is very bare bones, repeating the same commentaries from before and adding little in the way of additional materials. Fortunately it's cheap, but don't expect much.
Go for the Ultimate or Extreme edition. .......2007-06-22
I love this movie, it is one of my all time favorites. I recently upgraded to a Blu-Ray player and this is one of the first movies I bought. I am hugely disappointed in the quality and features of this BD. It honestly sux. I went from the Ultimate edition to this BD edition and took a huge step back. The quality is about the same as the Ultimate or Extreme editions and there are no bonus features. This was one of the big movies I bought a Blu-ray player for, so you can understand my disappointment. I will probably sell it and re-buy the Ultimate or Extreme edition. I recommend waiting to see if they come out with an Ultimate or Extreme edition on Blu-ray before buying this one.
im happy with this version.......2007-04-21
it may not be the extended version with cut scenes. I will say i watched this movie on digital cable and compared it to the blu0ray version and trust me there is a big difference more colors no smearing of facial features like on the cable version and the sound is incredible. If your hdtv sucks then blu-ray version may suffer if the difference is not noticable its your tv
and not the blu-ray disc. This is a must have for terminator fans!

WWE: where the big boys play.......2007-08-08
WCW coined the phrase back in the early to late 90's but WWE still uses it to this day. TNA has smaller wrestlers but WWE has the biggest. Khali and Big Daddy V are the two that come to mind. Hell I bet if Khali or Big Daddy V was let go by WWE, TNA would pick them up and give the former WWE treatment. Meaning a one month or less reign of the TNA world title.
Welcome Everyone To Sunday Night RAW!!!!.......2007-07-13
Overall, this PPV came off like a 3 hour edition of RAW or SmackDown where most the major matches were either turned into angles (HBK/Orton & ECW Title match) or were just watchable (Cena/Khali & Edge/Batista). This event looked good on paper but didn't live up to the hype whatsoever.
Ric Flair vs. Carlito - This opener did it's job in getting the crowd crazy as St. Louis usually always goes crazy for Ric Flair. Carlito mostly did a mat-based style along with working on Flair's arm throughout of the match. This was a good opener.
ECW Champion Mr. McMahon, Shane McMahon, Umaga vs. Bobby Lashley - I didn't know Goldberg was black? Seriously, this match was a carbon copy of an old Goldberg match from WCW. Lashley ran though Shane & Umaga in around a minute while Vince kept avoiding Lashley. And Vince kept the title since he wasn't the one who was defeated. They wasted so much on television for weeks for this match & this was the result? Save this crap for RAW or ECW, not for a show people pay around $40 for.
C.M. Punk vs. Elijah Burke - This match was very similar to the opening match in that it went around the same amount of time & Elijah worked on an injured body part thoughout various times of the match which in this case, it's Punk's heavily taped ribs. The match itself was slow at times to the point where the crowd was chanting for "J.B.L." at one moment. It was a good undercard match with nothing really noteworthy except for Punk perfectly selling his ribs throughout the bout.
Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton - Randy Orton came back to his hometown in another "match" that turned into a segment that should have been saved for RAW instead of a PAY-per-view. Earlier in the night, Orton attacked HBK during an interview adding to the concussion he got from Khali two weeks earlier. This was just Orton attacking HBK's head for around 5 minutes with a DDT & constant stomps to the head with HBK's only offense being his elbow drop from the top before his body gave out on him. The match got stopped with HBK taking an RKO afterwards. Just like the ECW title match, this should have been saved for RAW instead of a PPV because people don't pay to see glorified squash matches.
World Tag Team Champions The Hardys vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdock - A rematch from Backlash with J.B.L. & Michael Cole calling the match for some reason (since Matt's the only one on SmackDown). This tag match & storyline itself was very similar ot the Eddie Guerrero/Batista one from back in 2005 where the heels were trying to play by the rules & not cheat. It was a good tag team match but to me, was a step down from their Backlash match the previous month. Besides seeing Trevor Murdock pull off the Canadian Destroyer, there really wasn't anything memorable here eventhough it was a solid contest. This was the match of the night for me.
World Champion Edge vs. Batista - The match went around 10 mins. and it was a watchable match. It came off to me as Batista doing exactly what he was doing at the Royal Rumble, just looking to get his spots while doing a poor job (compared to Flair & Punk earlier in the night) of selling his injury. Edge as usual did work hard here but he's not Triple H & he's not Undertaker so we can't expect him to pull out that type of performance from Batista. Again, the match is watchable but in no ways worth of being a "World Championship" match.
2 out of 3 Falls Match: United States Champion Chris Benoit vs. MVP - This match was my least favorite out of their 4 match series but their worst match together is still better than most of the card here. Benoit sold his leg better than anyone else sold their injuries in the night with MVP targeting it thoughout the match. It was a shock that MVP beat Benoit two straight CLEAN falls but Benoit did his job in this fued & elevate MVP & give him more credibilty as a performer.
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Great Khali - Cena was put into a no win situation here by trying to have an entertaining match with a wrestler who not even a man who nobody, not even veterans like Undertaker or Kane, can make look good...to the point where his match with Undertaker was taken off SummerSlam so it could be heavily edited to be watchable on SmackDown. Cena was a spotmonkey non-stop by selling & falling to make Khali look like a monster while Khali did his usual punch/kick/repeat offense. Cena again was put into a no-win situation & made the best of it. The story here was for Cena to beat an unstoppable monster & the match served that purpose (ala Hogan vs. Bundy/Andre/Earthquake back in the 80's). Bad match but again, it was a no-win situation & Cena did win again but he was the lesser of two evils in this situation.
DVD extras include a post-match interview with Randy Orton, MVP celebrating in Teddy Long's office, and the whole story behind the CM Punk/Elijah Burke fued.
The undercard here stole the show but there wasn't much of a show to steal here & this is one event that is passable and I only recommend this for a rental at best.
Pretty much a JD pattern. .......2007-07-09
1. Carlito vs Ric Flair *** 1/4 - Their best encounter yet. Very hot opener and the crowd was into it. Carlito did a great job in there.
2. Lashley vs Team MaMahon N/A - Too short but as a segment, it's pretty entertaining.
3. CM Punk vs Elijah Burke *** 1/2 MOTN - These guys went out there and gave it all. They showcased their talent and I believe had the most time.
4. HBK vs Randy Orton N/A - Nothing happen here. They should've had Orton win though to get him more over.
5. The Hardy Boyz vs Cade & Murdoch *** 1/4 - C & M has gotten better. Very good match.
6. Edge vs Batista *** - I'm being a bit nice here. Just mediocre.
7. MVP vs Benoit *** - Not least good match. It's stupid to have a 15 minute 2/3 Falls match. The crowd were dead also. Nice counter-wrestling as usual though.
8. John Cena vs The Great Khali ** 1/4 - Khali. 'Nuff said.
Overall worth a pass of course, had a nice set of match but just mediocre.
The wrong wrestlers are being pushed and this ppv is proof.......2007-06-21
Having Ric Flair open up a ppv to me is just disrespectful. This opening match to me was better than the main event and way better than the handicap match. Also mostly clean wins, even for the heels.
Ric Flair vs. Carlito. They got a good amount time to put on a very good opener. Even at his age Flair can always get the crowd pumped. This man deserves another Heavyweight Title run in my opinion. And Carlito is sticking with ground base wrestling which is a good thing to me. The high flying style just doesn't fit him. 4/5
3 on 1 handicap match.
Mcmahons and Umaga vs. Lashley
The only reason I dont truly hate this match is because its short. Lashley is just garbage and thats all it is to it. What I hate the most is how Umaga is being used now. He went from the unstoppable, undefeated monster, with victories over Flair, Triple H, Michaels, and Kane. To a mere jobber for a newcomer and Lashley's whooping boy. It seems he cant even beat Lashley without the Mcmahons in his corner. P*sspoor match, graced with a quick ending. 2/5 and the biggest low point of the whole ppv.
CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke
A pretty decent match but I expected more from these two. It was a bit too long and seemed to drag. Even at times the crowd wasn't even in to it. 3/5
Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton
These two have had better. But this wasn't even a match. Randy jumped Michaels earlier. Plus Michaels was selling his concussion that he got a week ago to the fullest. The match was fast as he**. That RKO at the end was murder though. 3/5
The Hardy's vs Cade and Murdoch
Once again the Hardy's deliver but this match is kind of weak next to other matches. Cade and Murdoch in my opinion are underrated. I've enjoyed most of their tag team matches. The only thing I'm not feeling is Murdoch trying to pull off the Canadian Destroyer. Please let Petey Williams execute his own move thank you. Still a pretty solid match. 3/5
Edge vs. Batista
Why is Batista still getting title shots every ppv?! I can think of anyone who can match Edge's style in the ring and have spectacular matches. This match was mediocre at best and could have easily been on Smackdown. Nothing special here at all. 2.5/5
Chris Benoit vs. MVP 2 out of 3 falls
This match saved my life. It fell very short from their previous matches. Especially the one they had at Wrestlemania. Still it was pretty good and they blended very well together. Lots of counters and submissions were utilized. For me, this was the match of the night. 4/5
Cena vs. Khali
What the he11 is Khali doing main eventing?! My god if it wasn't for the length of this match, I don't think I could have watched this all the way through. The only high point was Cena's resourcefullness to chop down The Great Khali using the ring steps. Otherwise, nothing too special about this match either. 2.5/5.
This ppv was a step down from the last one. And this is proof the wrong guys is being pushed. Hopefully the wwe bookers step their game up.
Judgment Day 2007 Dissappoints.......2007-06-06
This years's Judgment Day Was As Disappoinitng. Even when it had all the 3 brands but still didn't live up to the ecpectations.
Ric flair def.carlito. Flair made carlito tap out after giving a figure four leg lock.
CM pank def. that black guy. Punk when after giving his finishing move.
Lashley def. mcmahons n umaga. Lashley pinned shane after giving a slam. But vince had a story to say that he didn't pin him so that he is still the ecw world champion.
Hardz def. cade n murdock. Jeff pinned murdock after giving swanton bomb.hardyz retained the world tag team championship.
Randy orton n Hbk Fought in a no contest. reason hbk collapsed after suffering an injury.
Edge Def Batista. Edge won by giving a school boy to batista and retained his world heavyweight championship.
John cena def the great khali. Cena made khali tap after giving an STFU and retained his WWE championship.
Overall An Average PPV At Best.

The digital video disc of this blockbuster hit is presented with a digitally mastered THX soundtrack. --Jeff Shannon

I went to this pay per view, this was one of the best pay per view i have ever been to. It happen on sunday may 19, 2002 at the Gaylord Entertainment center
The best macth was the hell in a cell macth with hhh and Chris Jericho
Great PPV.......2007-01-13
This is a really great ppv. Its just to damn bad its hard to get. There are three great matches on this card which are:
Edge vs Kurt Angle
Eddie Guerrero vs RVD
Triple H vs Jericho
This ppv is worth your money.
WHAT!?!?!?.......2007-01-01
You're kidding me.You must be INSANE if you're crazy enough to buy this.Sure, I have this PPV (I got it for free because my friend Zack ordered the PPV back in 2002 and taped it).All I have to say is that if you're planning on buying this PPV for that crazy price of $100 or more is that it's not worth it.Maybe if it was $30, but not $100.
Anyways pretty much the only matches worth the money is Austin vs. Flair & Big Show and HHH vs. Jericho HIAC (Hell In A Cell)
Great PPV, But NOT worth $100.00+ .......2006-12-11
Ok, this is a great PPV. THE HITC was great, the Flair match with Austin was fun..BUT There is no way this DVD is that rare! $100.00 to $200.00, give me a break! The MAX this should be is in the $40.00 range. I hope that WWE gets smart and decides to re-release this and thus kill the market for this old copy.
Great PPV, But Not Worth 100 Bucks.......2006-10-18
I was scrolling through here looking at WWE DVDs, just seeing if there were any old ppvs I might want, and I saw they were selling this for around $130, and that's just insane. Yes this was a great show, however, the most I'd buy it for is 40 bucks, possibly 50. Anyways, I thought I'd review this show because it seems like there isn't a decent review of the show, and some people are only posting about the high price it'll cost. I haven't done a review in a while, so here it goes:
Intercontinental Championship:
Eddie Guerrero Vs. RVD
This was an amazing opener. A lot of people only remember the ladder match these two had on Raw, where Rob won the IC title back. I believe this pay per view was right before that episode of Raw. Anyways, this match really proves that these two don't need a ladder to have a great match. This was truly a great wrestling match imo, and one I wish a lot more people could see. This match wasn't just high flying, it was more grounded to me, with even some great submissions work, which you don't expect from these two together in a match, especially RVD. ***1/2
Womens Championship:
Trish Stratus with Bubba Ray Vs. Stacy Keibler with D-Von
Eh, there isn't much to say about this match. It was short luckily. Trish did her best with working with Stacy, but Stacy still isn't much of a wrestler. It was at least somewhat entertaining. The only thing I really remember is Bubba being put through a table afterwards by D-Von and Batista. **
The Hardyz Vs. Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman
If this match had been longer, I think it would of been better. But given it was only around 8 minutes long at the most, I'd say they did a decent job of the Hardyz looking like they gave their all and making Brock look unstoppable. It seemed like a couple of times the Hardyz might actually win, however Brock was too strong in the end, countering a lot of the Hardyz high flying tactics, which was impressive to say the least when it came to showing his strength. **1/2
Stone Cold Vs. Ric Flair and Big Show
This was a very entertaining match. Stone Cold was really holding well on his own at the beginning, and of course the numbers caught up with Stone Cold eventually but he could still handle them on his own for the most part. It kind of bugged me Show was in this match, since the feud was really between Flair and Stone Cold. To some this match holds a bit of historic purpose, since this was Stone Cold's last PPV match for a while because of him walking out on the WWE. Still a match worth watching. ***
Hair Vs. Hair Match:
Kurt Angle Vs. Edge
A great match between these two. These guys have had better matches during this feud, such as their match at Backlash a month before, or their cage match they had a few weeks later on Smackdown!, but still doesn't take away from the fact that this was a memorable match, mostly because this is where Angle got his head shaved (and wore that dumb wig for a few weeks). These two nonetheless made it seemed like this match mattered to them in the ring and put on a tremendous effort of giving us a great match. ****
Hell In The Cell
Chris Jericho Vs. Triple H
I've seen pretty much every HIAC match there is (except for Unforgiven 2006, which I'll see soon), and this is definately in my top 3 list for favorite HIACs. It really bugs me how this is one of the least talked about HIACs, when these guys really made this a brutal and unforgettable HIAC. These guys really needed to step up the brutality too because in almost all the HIACs before, someone always came off/went through the top of the cell. These guys did some great things such as HHH swinging a chair at Jericho while he was holding a ladder, DDT through the announce table, a brutal (was that real barbwire?!) barbwired 2x4 shot to Jericho's head on the top of the cell, and of course the ending, a Pedigree on top of the cell. Jericho's expression after that ending says it all. Truly the match worth buying this DVD for. Without a doubt their best match during their feud. *****
World Tag Team Championship:
Billy and Chuck Vs. Rikishi and Rico
Boring match. It was really pointless. Rikishi was having a feud with B&C and Rikishi's secret tag partner was of course B&C's manager, Rico. The ending to this match is pretty interesting, with Rikishi and Rico actually winning the tag titles, however it's still not enough to make you want to watch the entire match. *1/2
WWE Championship Match:
Undertaker Vs. Hulk Hogan
This one is really tough to call. I really think that these two tried to have a great match, but in the end it was just not working out that way. The match was slow and had a good bit of botched spots, such as Taker's first Chokeslam on Hogan. I was very impressed when Hogan hit that Superplex on Taker. Add that with some of the great counters in this match, such as Taker countering the Leg Drop into a single leg crab, and I do believe these guys tried to have a good match, but like I said, it really wasn't working. In the end, just like 10 years ago at Sur. Series 92', Taker pulled off the win and won the title. **1/2
Also incase your wondering, the extras on this DVD are post-match interviews with the Hardyz, Bubba, and D-Von, as well as clips of HHH answering questions about his match and feud with Jericho on Byte This, and finally a Sunday Night Heat match for the European Championship with William Regal defending against D'lo Brown. The DVD itself is definately worth checking out. I'm sure it's impossible to rent, but if you can, go for it, and if you can buy it (at a decent price), I would definately recommend it. I believe the only reason this pay per view isn't bigger in other peoples' eyes, and the reason most of these matches aren't really talked about, is only because you could only buy this DVD at WWEShopzone and no where else. Luckily I bought it a few months after it came out at shopzone and haven't regretted it since. Definately a memorable, important, and all around fantastic show in my eyes. I really hope this review helped you guys and girls. Take care.

The main matches are what save this one........2007-09-11
WWE Judgment Day 2004 had high hopes but in my opinion with the exception of four matches, it was a dud. However, the four matches did enough for me not to regret seeing it..
Rob Van Dam teams up with Rey Mysterio to take on the Dudley Boyz in a very exciting opener that had the crowd riled up. RVD & Mysterio make one hell of a team and show that they deserve to be one day Tag Team Champions. Dudleys turning heel was one of the best aspects of this one. Great start so far....
After a great heel promo by Kurt Angle, Torrie Wilson takes on Dawn Marie. Other than seeing Dawn's backside, nothing special in this one.
The worst match of the night has got to be the debut of Mordecai against Scotty 2 Hotty. This one was just a stupid squash, nothing else. The event is not looking good so far:
Rico and Charlie Haas defend their newly won WWE Tag Team Championships against Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn. Rico tries to be funny which only goes so long. Haas does everything in his power to have a good wrestling match but well you know what happens...
WWE Cruiserweight Champion and former Women's Champion Jacqueline defends against Chavo Guerrero and Chavo must wrestle with one arm tied behind his back. The fact that Jacqueline is the champion is a slap in the face to every great cruiserweight out there. Chavo cheats to win, nothing more.
WWE United States Champion John Cena takes on Renee Dupree in an entertaining clash that brought some life into the event since the opener. This was fast paced, hard-hitting and very close near falls which qualifies as a solid match. One of Cena's best matches.
WWE Legend The Undertaker takes on the recently turned heel Booker T. This one had a dumb storyline but I forgave it for this match being top notch. Their styles mixed in different ways but they were able to hold their own in this one. Just for the main event now to save the show...
And it does as WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero and #1 Contender John Bradshaw Layfield blow the roof off the Staples Center with this electric main event. This match starts off very intense due to the storyline and picks up to brutality. Eddie bleeds like a sinner after a vicious chairshot but shows his fighting spirit. The ending is a shame since it ends with a disqualification but the match itself as well as the aftermatch with Eddie destroying JBL to a bloody pulp makes up for it. Great Match.
As I said a disappointing show but the opener and the final three matches makes this one worth seeing.
Must own dvd for any wrestling video library!!!.......2007-04-19
I just watched Judgment Day 2004 and I have to say it is one of my favorite ppv's ever, and I didn't even buy it when it was on ppv. The whole card is really solid, and I know it sounds crazy, but one of the biggest surpises is the Torrie/Dawn Marie match. They really had a good match, and are both GORGEOUS. The opening tag team match with the Dudleys is REALLY good. The Cena match is also above average. Now, the Eddie/JBL match is AMAZING and one of the greatest matches of all time. Absolutley BRUTAL and Eddie gave one of the great performances EVER. JBL may be one of the greatest heels ever...up there with HHH....he's that good....Just watch his promo before the match....I forgot how good JBL really was and sadly I didn't appreciate him at the time....JBL also wrestled great and the chair shots were the worst I have ever seen, especially the one Eddie took. As much as I watched it, every time Eddie took that chair shot I cringed. I can't believe how much blood he lost, and was still able to wrestle...Eddie's performance may be the most courageous performance in a ring EVER, and that's not even exaggerating....in actuality the match should have been stopped and Eddie taken to the back. As it turned out, however, we got one of the all-time greatest matches. This DVD is MUST-OWN. You get to see Eddie and JBL at their absolute best, and....WRESTLING at its absolute best!!!
Eddie becomes a legend!.......2007-02-06
I know some people said this event came up lame. But I would give this 5 stars based on the main event alone. Eddie and JBL ended up a total blood bath. I would say that the image here of a bloody and brutally beaten Eddie Guerrero still continuing to lay the smackdown on JBL is one of the main moments of recent years that would confirm Eddie's status as a true legend of the ring!
The rest of the event is average. Not too bad, but average. However, get it just to see the great main event with Eddie Guerrero. We miss you Eddie!
Eddie Stole The Show.......2006-07-29
What a awesome performance by Eddie Guerrero ! Talk about blading going bad. WOW. If you haven't seen it you will be amazed by the amount of blood that Latino Heat loses. Then his performance after the blade was unbelivable under those circumstances. Probably the last WWE blood loss like that was The Royal Rumble when Rock handcuffed Mankind and crushed his skull with the chair. The entire card wasn't that bad. But like most times Eddie stole the show.

I was there!.......2006-12-10
My friend and I were actually at the PPV. We actually did not expect much but it was awesome. Every match was pretty darn good. I went to watch the dvd and it was quite good also. Great wrestling and the angles were OK. I would suggest it.
Made me a Cena fan.......2006-07-21
I never got Smackdown on TV, so I never knew what was so big about Cena. I saw this match, and my mind changed about Cena. He puts on a hell of a show against JBL, and the match alone is worth the price of admission. The ending is kind of drawn out and slow, but still doesnt take away from the atch. Check it out if you love ECW or Cena; Its funny how RVD was making fun of Cena for not being hardcore, I guess they forget this gem.
JUDGMENT DAY IS UPON US!!!!.......2006-07-09

Good For A Video Rental, Not Good Enough To Buy.......2006-06-18
Judgment Day 2005 reminded me of the one the previous year (which I saw LIVE)...only four great matches and the rest were fillers that honestly, you could only watch once...if that.
Tag Team Champions MNM vs. Hardcore Holly & Charlie Hass - Honestly, I just didn't care for this match. Sorry but it's decent at best.
Big Show vs. Carlito - Another "put a storyline over" match as Show just dominated Carlito until M-M-M-M-M-Matt Morgan (those who remember his gimmick will get the joke) interfeared with an F5 for Carlito to win. Besides Morgan's F5, nothing else to talk about.
Crusierweight Champion Paul London vs. Chavo Guerrero - Great crusierweight match from start to finish. This is what you can get when you actually push the division.
Booker T vs. Kurt Angle - How Kurt Angle went from having a match of the year with HBK to a "sexual preditor" storyline with Booker T's wife is beyond me but storyline aside...this was great match #2 as Booker brought his A game along with Kurt Angle.
United States Champion Orlando Jordan vs. Heidenrich - Slow & boring between two GREEN wrestlers. Skip.
Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero - Another great match between these two with nice in-ring storytelling. This is the best Eddie has ever been as a heel.
I Quit Match: WWE Champion John Cena vs. J.B.L. - This HEAVILY made up for their WM match and then some. They went all over the ring & stage using various hardcore weapons. This match was awesome all the up until the "I Quit" ending but it doesn't take away from the match.
DVD extras (that I remember) include Cena's "Bad Bad Man" video & the behind the scenes making of it, a J.B.L. anti-Cena promo, and a FUNNY backstage interview with Carlito & Matt Morgan.
The good matches were the Crusierweight title match, and the 3 main events but the rest were heavily filler & boring so I just suggest this for a video rental.

Nowhere near as bad as some people say.......2007-08-09
Had I not decided to see this ppv for myself, I would have missed out on an excellent show.
WWE Tag team Championship
MNM vs. Brian Kendrick & Paul London
A fantastic opener. WWE should push their tag division a lot more. This was match of the night for me. And it was the opener. Their styles blended so well together, I watched the match twice. A very good and clean win also. To include the after match segment added some more flavor. 5/5
Chris Benoit vs. Finlay
Man I miss these days. Old school mat base wrestling. This is a true wrestling fans match. Holds being countered into more holds, to include it got very physical. I only wish these two had feud longer. Another one of my favorites on the card. 5/5
Jillian Hall vs. Melina
Surprisingly a womens match that didn't suck. Why aren't these two being pushed now? They had a pretty decent match with out the fluff you usually see. To include another after match segment that made the match a little better. 3.5/5
WWE cruiserweight championship
Gregory Helms vs. Super Crazy
If wwe pushed their cruiserweight divison, there would be a few classics every ppv. These two bought they best and it delivered. The ending was the only thing I wasn't satisfied with. In fact it hurt the match greatly for me. 3/5
Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry
Not too bad. In fact it was pretty good. The length also made the match easier to watch. The ending was pretty lame, but it made sense. The aftermatch attack was a plus as well. 3/5
King of the Ring Finals
Booker T vs. Lashley
I feel Lashley got pushed and is still being pushed way too soon. What qualified him to be in the KOTR finals anyway? Well a pretty good match with Booker T selling Lashley's punishment. I just felt the match should have been a little clean considering Booker T's veteran status. The whole intereference took alot away from the match for me. 3.5/5
Undertaker vs. The Great Khali
I really didn't like this match. For a few reasons. Now most big men matches are slow. But this was just painfully slow and nothin special took place. Khali is all size and no talent. The rematch that was scheduled for Summerslam got pushed to Smackdown because of this. I also don't like the fact UT took the loss with a one foot pin. He also deserved the win, cause Khali is just a waste of ppv space. 2.5/5
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Rey Mysterio vs. JBL
The Heavyweight title and the royal rumble has been a joke to me ever since Rey won it. To include wwe management made the title a joke even more by letting Rey get squashed 3x on his way to this match. Then JBL dam near squashed him. For the most part the match was a savage beating. The ending was weak to me as well. JBL survived a Last Ride Match with UT while he was champ. And he doesn't kick out of a frog splash from a 175lb. cruiserweight, who took a beating the whole time? Yeah right.. 3/5
This ppv is worth seeing and for the cheap price your getting a real good event.
Judgement Day 2006.......2007-03-10
(WWE Tag Team Championship)
MNM vs Paul London and Brian Kendrik:A good opening match. Paul and Brian are like the Rey of Tag Teams. Great ending as well. 8/10
Chris Benoit vs Finlay:This was a filler match, plain and simple, but Chris Benoit is awsome in any match. Hooray for bias reviews! 7/10
Jillian Hall vs Melina:I said it before and I'll say it again. Catfights are way too overated! 2/10
Gregory Helms vs Super Crazy:Is Helms even a Cruiserweight? That guy is an ox compared to Super Crazy. This was a gimme. 5/10
Kurt Angle vs Mark Henry:I didn't want to see them fight for the Heavyweight Belt,so would I want to see them fight now? At least they aren't in the main event 4.5/10
(King of the Ring Finals)
Bobby Lashley vs Booker T:Lashley had this match. Until a certain irish fella comes out for no reason to ruin things. All hail King Booka!! 6/10
Undertaker vs The Great Khali:This was a gimme. That's been happening at lot tonight. 4/10
(World Heavyweight Championship)
Rey Mysterio vs JBL:Rey is his usual high flying self in this match. A respectable length time and good performances from Rey and JBL make this a reasonable main event. Bravo. 8.5/10
Overall:Quantity over quality kept this from becoming a classic. There were a lot of average matches rather than a few great ones.A strong start and finish earn you an extra 1/2 star though. 6.5/10
HEY,PEOPLE!!THIS REVIEW IS BEIN' WROTE BY MY 8YR.OLD SON, A.C.,SO HERE YA GO!!(LOVE,JONI!).......2006-11-07

The Birth Of KING BOOKER & The Death Of MNM In One Show.......2006-09-05
My SmackDown PPV streak continues as this was the fourth SmackDown PPV in a row that was overall a great PPV. In ways, it's ironic that WWE focuses more on RAW but yet, SmackDown PPV's are better quality than the RAW ones in the past year.
WWE Tag Team Champions MNM vs. Brian Kendrick & Paul London - Great tag team match and one of the best ones in WWE in recenty memory. Honestly, I'm not acting like it's the greatest of all time but it's really a great match but unfortunally, it also ended with the breakup of MNM.
Chris Benoit vs. Finlay - This match is a perfect for those who are fans of professional wrestling (not sports entertainment) and gave you a great mat based wrestling match.
Jillian Hall vs. Melina - This was a good womens match & one of the best ones in the past year. Little people know that Melina & Jillian are trained to wrestle so you don't have to expect any of that T&A wrestling that Torrie & Candice or sit through a horrible match like you see with the diva search girls do.
Crusierweight Champion Gregory Helms vs. Super Crazy - Crazy is one of the most underutilized wrestlers in WWE today while you don't see alot of Gregory Helms these days eventhough he's Crusierweight Champion so this was the "sleeper" match of the night as these two put on a great show as Crazy does his lucha style while Helms uses at his mat wrestling. This was one of the matches that proves if WWE was to push this division more than what they normally do now, it clearly has the possibility to overshadow TNA's X Division.
Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry - Just like most Mark Henry matches, it's good if the other wrestler does alot of selling & the match is short. This was no exception as Angle sold his injured ribs while Henry just beat him down. The match result was kinda jip (nobody pays money to see DQ & countout endings) but the attack afterwards made up for it.
King Of The Ring Final: Bobby Lashley vs. Booker T - Both men brought their A game here & put on the best match possible. ALL HAIL KING BOOKER!
Undertaker vs. Great Khali - All I'm gonna say about this is that Taker did his best but Khali just sucks period. It was basically Khali countering all of Taker's offence while getting in a few WEAK punches and kicks here & there. It's watchable & Khali is at least better than Kenzo Suzuki so I've seen worse so I'll give the match some credit.
WWE Champion Rey Mysterio vs. J.B.L. - This match was a step below their match months ago at No Mercy because throughout Mysterio's whole title reign, he was booked as the underdog because of his size instead of being able to hold his own. JBL dominated the match with Mysterio making the big comeback.
DVD extras included a quick backstage confrontation between Chavo & Eddie's widow Vicki Guerrero, an interview with Khali & Davari, and Booker being crowned King Booker on SmackDown!
Again a PPV that I can watch over & over again, recommended.
