Happy accident..........2006-08-25

I've found Luis' DVD for a long while,I'm glad to discover it's here!And...I bought it and wanted to saw it via my laptop originally cause I lived in region III(East Asia).Fortunately,I can watch it smoothly through dvd player,too.(although I really don't know why)^^ well,I'd love to recommend this dvd if you're the one of Luis Miguel's fans ,buy it!you won't be disappointed

Videos Reeditados..........2006-07-08

Como pueden Reeditar el video original de America,America?, el q aparece en esta colección NO es el mismo de hace algunos años atras!...Al inicio en la introducción había una escena donde aparece 1 mujer en traje de baño de espaldas y una ola reventando atras de ella, simbolizando la majestuosidad de la cancion, pues lo sacaron!!...malo, malo, además si lo reeditaron debieron de ponerle escenas más alusivas al CONTINENTE AMERICANO, no a el País de Norteamerica como aparece ahora, solo algunas pequeñas escenas se conservan...y cual es el punto de esa pareja de novios q sale a cada rato?...Pesimo editor, falta de creatividad absoluta. ( 1 estrella menos )
Además el Video de "La Incondicional" que trae este DVD no es el largo original, que empieza con una introducción hablada por el mismo Luis Miguel, yo lo tengo en VHS desde hace 10 años...
( otra estrella menos).

Y, por Ultimo han obviado algunos videos clásicos, que los tengo en VHS : " Yo que no vivo sin ti", "Palabra de Honor", "No me puedes dejar así", que inclusive las cantó en 1 popurrí en su ultima gira "33". Luis Miguel Gallego, si lee esto pongase pilas y dele un jalon de orejas a los productores d este DVD. ( la última estrella menos).

I'm sure any one who has followed Luis Miguel carreer has been waiting forever for this video compilation. It reviews his beginning up until his new mexican style. I give it 5 stars, well deserved I'm truly happy to have all his videos together in a great dvd presentation. Enjoy!

His music has being a fresh air in the death latinoamerican music scene of the last 20 years characterized by a lacking of originality and innovation. With the edition of this DVD-Video we see new lights in all those well known hits of Juan Luis. The videos are made with a adecuate sense of romanticism, multicolors scenes, and a controled sensualism that serves well to the songs. As a bonus, some live tracks are included, as a testament that Guerra is not only good in the record studio, but a wonderful stage perfomer as well.

compre este dvd porque me gusta juan luis guerra especialmente sus exitos viejos,el disco esta excelente y le daria 5 estrellas si estuvieran los exitos: bachata rosa,como abeja al panal,y carta de amor.aunque sea en vivo pero no estan ni en video ni en vivo por lo demas todo esta perfecto.esta es la lista de tracks:

One of Mexico's Best Singer/Songwriters.......2007-01-13

The Furia Musical Premios recently gave Marco Antonio Solis several awards, among them one for Male Singer of the Decade, and another to honor him for his 30 years as a singer/songwriter. Solis was leader of Norteno/Tejano band Los Bukis for 20 years, and then launched a solo career that has been topping charts for the last decade. Solis is one of Mexico's greatest talents, and the videos on this DVD show why. His songs are melodic and often poetic, and most of them fall into the romantic "lost love" ballad genre, though "El Masoquista" is a fun, upbeat number, and "La Venia Bendita" uses a mariachi band in its arrangement.

The 1st 3 tracks are from the 1996 CD "En Pleno Vuelo," tracks 4 and 5 are from the 1997 "Marco," track 6 dates back to his early time with Los Bukis and the "Falso Amor" CD, and the last 4 are from the exquisite 1999 "Trozos de Mi Alma" CD, which is an all time favorite in my collection, and the final 2 of these is performed live at the Teatro de las Bellas Artes in San Jose, Puerto Rico. The audio and visual quality is excellent, and the approximate running time is 45 minutes. Track list:

A Soulful Concert in the Twilight of a Great Career.......2007-04-10

This concert was filmed at a Plaza de Toros in Colombia...I believe in 1998, which would make Don Antonio 79, and in the waning years of his long and legendary career. His voice is one of an elderly man, and there words and even phrases he skips, but one has to see and hear this DVD with one's spirit, and be moved to tears by its inner grandeur. Don Antonio is introduced by his wife Flor (Flor Silvestre, also a legend of Mexican cinema), who he calls his "Vieja hermosa," and says after her..."te adoro, te amo, te quiero, eres mia!" and his horse also is a beauty, as it dances and prances and obeys Don Antonio's every command; I find charro horses riveting to watch, and this white stallion is spectacular.

Antonio Aguilar made countless films during the Epoca de Oro of Mexican filmmaking (late 40's into the early 60's) and way beyond, and was called by some the "Roy Rogers of Mexico" because of the combination of acting, horsemanship and singing, and Aguilar also had an extensive and successful career as a recording artist. This concert is not one to particularly listen to, but to soak in the atmosphere, and the soul of a great artist. Total running time is 57 minutes, and the extra is a small photo gallery. Track list:

Don Antonio live.......2007-03-14

I was never fortunate enough to see Don Antonio perform live, so this DVD is a treat. Don Antonio rides his horse and performs his most famous songs in a bull ring in Columbia (I think). I think this performance took place when he was in his late 70's or 80's. I like to compare this performance with the one in the movie "El As de Oro", a Mexican movie from the 60's when Don Antonio was much younger.

Smooth and Romantic Video Collection.......2007-03-30

The 10 videos in this collection are well produced romantic baladas, beautifully sung by Aguilar, with excellent mariachi arrangements and musicianship; my favorite is Latin Grammy winner "Por una mujer bonita" which is the most traditional in melody and sound of the 10 tracks. "Por mujeres como tu" is also included, which was Aguilar's 1998 mega-hit that was to put him on the world map of Latin music, and make him a superstar. Pepe Aguilar was born in 1968 in San Antonio, Texas, with a legendary heritage, being the son of Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre. Pepe has a smooth and lovely sound, as if he has wrapped his powerful voice in velvet, and you can't turn on the radio for long without hearing its unique sound.

There is terrific footage of the Costa Careyes area on Mexico's Pacific Coast on several of the tracks, and "Me vas a extranar" was filmed in the famous "Sol de Oriente" villa, with its "to the edge" swimming pool which Aguilar stands on, and Joan Sebastian's "Mas alto que las aguilas" has memorable aerial shots. Extras are a discography and a 2 minute interview, filmed inside "Sol de Oriente." Total running time is approximately 40 minutes.

Grandes Exitos en DVD Los Bukis.......2006-07-19

The music is nice and enjoyable. The sound and the photography are good. This DVD shows more of Marco Antonio Solis rather than the Bukis group. The price for this entertainment is worth it.
