For those who can't get enough of those Barney songs, here's a made-for-video show packed full of song and dance. The story line is oh-so thin as Barney and his friends sing 27 songs in only 56 minutes, so Barney is usually singing or introducing a new song. For anyone who has been watching the decade that Barney has been on the airwaves, most of the songs are Barney standards: "Mr. Sun," "The Airplane Song," "Baby Bop Hop," and "I Love You." They are mixed in with all-time favorites "Itsy Bitsy Spider," "A Camping We Will Go," and the like. Many of Barney's original kid friends return looking much older and wiser. No big landmark production here, just a "greatest hits" of Barney tunes that should have fans singing and dancing around the tube for nearly an hour. --Doug Thomas

my 18 mo old son immediately loved this video because it has lots of songs without much dialog in between so it holds his attention throughout. he loves videos with kids and lots of singing. he loves that many of the songs have hand/body movements that he tries to imitate. he repeatedly asks for this video.

I had never actually watched Barney before I bought my 8-month-old son this VHS. He loves watching Barney. He watches this video straight through. Moreover, he is mesmerized by this video while sitting in front of the TV. Colorful TV commercials or Cartoons don't work as much as Barney to help us at the time of baby meals. It is a winner among all other baby materials. I wonder what it is about Barney that is so appealing. Is it normal for a baby to watch it three times a day? I am afraid to have VHS torn out soon.
I also like this video because the characters are warm and friendly while having lots of fun and singing and dancing. Due to my son's interest to this video, I have already ordered 4 more different Barney VHS/DVD.

With each passing year bringing another high-profile rock reunion, prompted as often by balloon mortgage payments as any real artistic hunger, old fans could be excused for greeting 1997's announcement that the big Mac was back with skepticism: at their commercial zenith, Fleetwood Mac had offered superb transatlantic pop-rock with the added spice of a remarkable back-story, but the band's long decline and underwhelming later personnel shifts didn't bode well.

Such guarded expectations make the musical punch of The Dance all the more impressive, and enable the meticulously produced concert special to genuinely surprise. The band's musicianship--the one constant between the original, late '60s English blues band and its platinum '70s lineup featuring guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and singer Stevie Nicks--is in peak form, buttressed by a discreet auxiliary of additional musicians. Even with the hired guns, though, it's the rock-solid rhythm section of founders Mick Fleetwood and John McVie, and Buckingham's impassioned playing that strike sparks. Always a dynamic guitarist, Buckingham brings feverish intensity to both group classics and solo turns such as "Go Insane."

Both familiar hits and new songs (including the solid "Temporary One" and "Bleed to Love Her") further confirm that this isn't a rote exercise--the band sounds fully engaged. Buckingham, Nicks, and the elegant Christine McVie retain their vocal charm (although Nicks has clearly lost her upper register). And the sense of old wounds healed, and older affections acknowledged, gives true poignancy to the set's high mark, a brilliant live version of "Silver Springs," a truly haunting Rumours-era B-side that proves deeply moving. --Sam Sutherland

I am a fan of Fleetwood Mac,but never went to see them live. I would have liked to see the band at the top of their game,but this DVD gives you a very good idea of what that must of been like. The band is in top form playing a wide range of their material. The only time I was disappointed is when Stevie Nicks didn't reach for the high notes like on the studio recordings. This may be due to her not being able to do it any more or just wanting to change it up a bit. Either way when you know songs as well as these you want to hear them done the way you remember them. Aside from that one small complaint,the sound is rich and clear and the transfer is very good. The band really conects with each other and you feel like you are part of something special when your watching this. If you like concert DVD's,you should have this in your collection.

I saw this DVD being played at a Bose outlet store and could not move from the performance being showed. Watching Fleetwood Mac perform "Silver Spring" was a real eye opener! It was as if Stevie and Lindsey were singing only to each other. Wonderful music!

I bought this DVD because my 3 year old is starting preschool. It has lots of singing and dancing but could focus more on the actual things that my son should expect to do in school. My son is convinced that his school will have a giant, multi-shaped bubble blower now! It's a fun DVD but doesn't help very much to prepare kids for school.

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year who has alot of other Barney videos and this one is the best. I personally don't like watching Barney but both of kids do. I have to say "lets play school" is the most educational and that's what's most important. They go over shapes, colors, abc's and my toddler really participates and follows along. This video definitley makes learning fun. Even my 8 yr old watches it. She says it the only Barney video she likes since she has outgrown the rest. :)

My daughter is 12 months old and I bought this DVD for her and by far, this has captivated her attention more than any other video that we own. She loves the 1 hour of non-stop singing and dancing and she tries to dance along with it. We bought a few other Barney DVD's and she liked them but none of them excite her like this one does.

Kids love this video. I'm a home daycare provider. Over the yrs I have collected over 100 kids videos. Barney Songs seems to entertain my daycare kids ages 14 months to 5 yrs greatly. My kids cheer when I put this video on. I'd say it's in the top 10 favorite videos of my daycare kids. This a must have video for anyone who has a Barney fan in their house.

Hey there! Lauren here. I hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to let everyone know that this video is WONDERFUL! I just bought it and I LOVE it! My nieces do too. This video has some of my favorite songs. And it stars three of my favorite kids. Julie, Kathy and Min! The songs teach things like how to use your indoor and outdoor voice, not to leave the water on when you brush your teeth and how much fun it is to eat healthy snacks. No matter what a toddler's parent does, Barney is inescapable. No matter how cringingly irritating adults find Barney's goofy voice, he captivates his youthful audience. Barney's Rhyme Time Rhythm is no exception. The video's setting finds a frustrated Emily trying to pen a poem for school. My daughter loves this DVD. She is 19 months and just started watching TV several months ago. She loves Barney and Mother Goose, sings and dances in front of the TV. Getting a book with rhymes also helps and reinforces learning the rhymes.

If her 2002 tour really was her last--and after being "an evil frickin' diva for 40 frickin' years," as she puts it, she just might mean it--Cher has definitely left us something to remember her by. In the course of this 92-minute concert (plus loads of extra features), she wears enough different costumes and wigs to outfit a small (if rather odd) town, surrounds herself with dancers and acrobats galore, shows clips from her old TV series, and even plays all the roles in a delightful mini-version of West Side Story (one of the extras). Oh, and she sings too, covering everything from the Sonny & Cher years to her early solo career and her renaissance as a disco diva via "Believe." i really enjoy this concert, and this dvd has a extraordinary features, you could see a Cher telling you her comments about the show, is really great. if you like Cher you probably could cry with this concert but it worth it, i`m not the best cher fan, but i always enjoy her music, i started to follow her since Believe cd, but i knew a lot of her classics songs, and this is the best of this concert she sings all the classics songs, and the songs who made her a true diva.

Did you get a chance to see Pacino's movie "Simone"? The premise: Hollywood uses a computer program to create and mold the biggest female star ever.

It's pretty obvious (and has always been) that Britney has very little musical talent, but they molded her into the biggest music icon in 2000. On this DVD you get a chance to relive her early greatness in videos like "Sometimes", "Baby one more time", "Oops I did it again". Those were such wonderful videos (directed by Nigel Dick). Britney looked so beautiful and happy. It's very shocking to see what that happy little girl became today. Nobody would have thought that this squeeqy clean girl would be prancing around hollywood with no panties, on drugs, and shaving her head bald. These video's are not only entertaining, but they are also a window into the Britney transformation. The video "Lucky" from her oops album in particular is strange, because Britney really became the Lucky girl (lost in an image, with nobody there to wake her up). By the 3rd album, you can see Britney smiling less, becoming more sexually deviant, and singing "Im a slave for you". Her last album has shocking video's such as "Everytime", where Britney dies in the bathtub (from what looks like suicide). Sure, she pops out of the tub at the end to let us know she is okay, but it's still very strange. Also contained on this DVD is Britney's unfinished video "Outrageous" (from her 4th album). Britney is totally out of her element in this video, pretending to be a home-girl in the ghetto. She jumps on snoop dog (the rapper) and licks his face like catwomen (from batman 2). That was quite possibly the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.

Well, Britney just got out of rehab, and I hope she will be okay. People on the internet are already betting who will father her next child. Aside from what you believe about Britney's lack of talent, she is a human. That's right, she isn't Simone. She is a human, and makes mistakes just like anyone else. She tried to entertain us. The least we can do is give her some sympathy and hope she finds her way.

I love watching this DVD while on the treadmill. It is very entertaining and the music is fun to walk to.
Since MTV never shows videos anymore, watching this DVD for the first time, was really the first time I saw a lot of her videos.
She's a fab artist and was lucky with her songs. This is a fun DVD to own if you are a Britney fan.

You feel like a part of the Concert........2005-09-11

Of all the concert dvds and real life concerts I've been to, this is probably the closest you can get if you want to chill on your couch and be part of this thrilling concert. This DVD is amazing, nsync is amazing. I'm not their top fan, but I truly enjoyed the music, and the incredible dance moves. It makes me want to jump up and dance with them! All five of them look great, esp Justin with his curly hair and bandana. They are very adorable, they enjoyed the concert and so did everyone. Watching the concert makes you feel like you are sharing a part of their incredible happiness and fortune, it's sad, but for a spur of moment, it is close to sublime.

This is really NSYNC at their highest point when they did the Madison Square Garden concert in NYC on HBO! I was in Brooklyn listening to it on Z100 on simulcast when I was there on vacation! On the DVD, it is a phenomenal show, with loads of fireworks blasting on many of the songs. They did a lot of the songs from the No Strings Attached album as well as some cuts from the debut. The best performance is It's Gonna Be Me, which the band played so good live! Followed by the big grand finale of Bye Bye Bye, and numbers such as This I Promise You, Digital Get Down, I Thought She Knew, the '80s looking set during Just Got Paid, the jazzy I Drive Myself Crazy and many others. Justin Timberlake still sounds strong vocally and JC Chasez is also that good in his leads. They put a lot of effort into this show and the stage, lights, and strobe lights are massive, which could rival some of KISS' concerts! While most of the audience were teen girls, I noticed a lot of adults in the audience and many male fans too dancing to the music! They really expanded and broadened their audience with this album as well as their music. One of the best concerts to open in the 21st century!

Mostly excellent concert, bad video work, mediocre audio.......2005-01-01

This particular concert would have been astounding to watch from close up in person. The vocals were mostly spot on. I have to give these boys a hand. They really can sing in concert, which I was not expecting when I bought this video.

The grandeur of the show was degraded by the shoddy camera work, the bad cuts and the horrible audio mix.

Video

The camera work intercuts way too frequently usually not pointing at the correct location to get the perspective of the concert. Although, the camera work is good enough to get most of the action.

Audio

The audio recording sound quality is good, but not excellent. The vocal mixes were, in most cases, way too low next to the music. At many times, you can barely hear JC or Justin over the music and noise. It's probably tough to mix a concert in among loud screaming fans, but I'm sure there has to be someone who could have done it. Another example is during 'No Strings Attached', Lance's vocals are way too loud compared to Justin.

And, on many songs you can hear the breathing against the microphone (very annoying). While I know this can only be avoided to some degree, they could have turned the mics down during the non-singing parts.

Song Renditions

In most cases, the band does excellent renditions of the songs. Many times, they rival the studio recording... which is quite a feat in a live setting. Not many bands can accomplish this with such mastery no matter how hard they try.

The exception to this is "Bye Bye Bye". This is probably the worst rendition on the video. The haphazard dance movements get in the way of the vocals and cause noticable degredation. Plus, the guys were just plain tired and their vocals were not pristine seeing as it was an encore. This song should have been first, not last. I know they save the best for last, but in this case, I would have preferred to hear this one first.

The best rendition being "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You" with a close second to "I Thought She Knew".

Dancing

While the dancing was very energetic, I felt that many of the syncronized movements got in the way of the song. The songs were, in most cases, just not energetic enough to warrant that kind of dance. I still have to give them cheers to be able to be that synchronized and still sing that well (except Bye Bye Bye).

Bantering

There was a lot of bantering by the band members between the songs. There was some kind of chatter between nearly every song. There were only two songs where they went from one song directly into another without stopping.

Overall

This is an excellent concert to watch on video. It's too bad I didn't get to see it live (and probably never will since the band has disbanded).

One last thing, throughout the video, they keep making references to being 'here to stay' in retort to those who were saying boy band days are numbered. To that, I say, told you so. Those were my sentiments at the time even though I have since watched the video and I do admire their ability to put on a concert without lipsyncing (that I can tell anyway).

If you're a fan, it's definitely worth a buy. If you like to watch excellent concerts, this is definitely one not to miss. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the production. Especially after having seen a Backstreet Boys concert where the production was so much lower and the quality was average (and in some cases, below average) concert quality.

We love The Wiggles and have a few DVD's...My son is two and LOVES this one. I love every song and catch myself singing along with them and a smile on my face. I also bought Yummy, Yummy at the same time, and I don't care for it as much, although my son was up and dancing with it, which he does not do with Top of The Tots.

I think The Wiggles are fantastic...I highly recommend this DVD!

My 19 month old really likes this is one. It's a keeper and must have for every little Wiggle fan! If your little one liked Wiggly Gremlins, Yummy Yummy, or Wiggly Christmas you must add this one to your collection. (I don't recommend Cold Spaghetti Western)

The BEST ever Wiggles movie!.......2005-12-31

After renting a Wiggles DVD from Blockbuster that took tidbits from this one, I knew that I had to have it considering I ended up renting it twice for a couple weeks to sastify my daughter. It has such an awesome variety of songs and is very entertaining. There's a mix of slower more relaxing songs and the upbeat get off your seat and dance songs. We have about 10 Wiggles DVDs and I can say that this is my favorite!

Great For Any Justin Timberlake Fan!.......2005-09-03

I was reading pass reviews on this DVD and I had to see it to believe it. I'm a huge fan of his and I didn't care that it was only 90 minutes of show time. Although, their could have been some more features. Hopefully when Justin comes back on tour again and puts out a new album, i'll release another DVD with more extended material. Another good thing is that it has a BONUS CD! So if your a true fan you will really enjoy the DVD!

he's a pretty good dancer and an able singer. no more than lots of people, though. he doesn't deserve the title "artist". has he even ever written a song all by himself? he also badly needs to find his own style. whenever i see him perform he's always ripping off somebody. usually its michael jackson, with his hat and glove moonwalking all over the place. he also trys to sing like michael jackson, unsuccessfully. he needs to sing in his own range, he simply just doesn't have the vocals to sing like michael jackson. and did anyone see the grammys? was anyone else thinking it looked like a mediocre stevie wonder impersonation? of course the singing was pretty bad... he came out playing the piano and bobbing his head around (just like stevie, even though I always figured stevie did it cuz he's BLIND!) desperately trying to sing with some soul. i'm not convinced. you can really tell just how good an artist is when they perform live, and this goes to show us just how much of mr. timberlake's success is due to hype and promotion.

Star performer, but where is the rest of the concert?.......2004-04-24

This DVD shows off Justin's amazing stage presence and considerable skill in working the audience. However, the whole concert is not featured for some reason, which is a bit of a shame - I was at one of his Wembley Arena dates, and the audience response to "Take It From Here" was fantastic, so I don't know why they have omitted it.

The audio CD is good just for "Lovin' It" - anyone who has the European version of "Justified" will probably have "Worthy Of" already.

Worth buying if you are a JT fan.

I am a HUGE Justin fan, but this DVD is not so great. Actually, I skipped my way through it because it was so boring...and Justin is NOT boring! I went to the live show (in Memphis, not London) and it is sooooo much better than what this DVD makes it out to be. Very amatuerish in quality and quantity.
If you're a Justin fan, buy the DVD Justin Timberlake Justified - The Videos instead. I bought both DVDs at the same time, and haven't had Live from London back out of its case since the first viewing. I've watched The Videos DVD tons of times, though. It's great, with alot of bonus footage and interviews with Justin. Please, do yourself a favor and skip Live from London.

Please don't buy this DVD, it's simply too awful for words! This guy is a complete rip-off of every single male artist that's graced the stage before him, except he completely lacks their talent! "Live from London" is just another word for CRAP! I advise you to stay away from this, you'll feel much better for it!!
