Description
Using a brand new technology which combines image and sound to the notes of their keyboards, Dose Hermanos, the world's foremost psychedelic keyboard duo, plays you through a myriad of sonic and visual landscapes in "Shadow of the Invisible Man". Every note for every song has been designed for sound and picture, making this one of the first products composed entirely for the DVD environment. The viewer not only hears the music but sees it as well, watching harmonies and melodies explode. Dose Hermanos is Tom Constanten and Bob Bralove. They met in the creative vortex that was the Grateful Dead. Constanten was the keyboardist with the band during the experimental late sixties and Bralove was the technical wizard behind the Drums and Space sections of the show in the band's last eight years.

After seeing two live performances recently by Dose Hermanos, I knew I had to see this DVD. The visual images keyed to the music enable you to see what you are hearing. It demonstrates how the communication between these two very talented and gifted musicians works and makes their ability to improvise and their playfullness come alive right before your eyes. The images add excitement and interest, but do not take over -- it is still about the music -- the music is what hits you. If you are not sure -- close your eyes and listen -- it is remarkable.
