Description

In April of 2003, Southern Punk war machine ANTiSEEN celebrated 20 years of their unique style of Rock 'N' Roll with a no-holds-barred show in Charlotte, North Carolina. Along with the current line up of Doug Canipe, Sir Barry Hannibal and founding members Joe Young and Jeff Clayton, the band welcomed past alumni Tom O'Keefe, Greg Clayton, Doug Throgmorton, Tripp McNeill and Dale Duncan to the stage to perform songs from their respective era of ANTiSEEN history. Included were songs from the first release the DRASTIC EP all the way through the latest album BOYS FROM BRUTALSVILLE, as well as all the on-stage antics that have made ANTiSEEN infamous worldwide.

5 out of 5 stars Definitely for any big-time Antiseen fans.......2004-10-01

Antiseen's 20 year career all culminates in one very extensive live show featuring barbed wire, tables on fire, blood from self-inflicted beer bottle wounds, and of course a lot of street/gutter punk. Performing some thirty songs in one night can take a lot out of a punk rocker, but fortunately Antiseen, in an act of sentiment, brought along former members of the band to jam out songs from their specific era and let each other take a break. The stage show is not one to forget, and I'm pretty sure I won't for a long while. Vocalist Jeff Clayton endures numerous costume changes (from being decked out in Confederate flags, to wearing a pilgrim's hat, to sporting a cranium-protecting Boba Fett mask) as does the stage, which at one point is draped in barbed wire. Sparing no expense on their stage show or musical empowerment, Clayton also plucks around on an old-school washboard, complete with Antiseen logo, before bringing it back on stage towards the end of the set and smashing it. Pummeling through one raw tune after another revs up the crowd into a perpetual fury and they seem to feed off of each one of the band's antics, especially the annihilation of every instrument in sight (minus the guitar) as the finale. Definitely for any big-time Antiseen fans, but probably not for the novice or faint of heart.
